Prepare the entire contents of the bag at once to ensure a uniform shade. If using multiple bags of the same shade, mix them together before painting. The ready-made paint will keep in the refrigerator for about a week, and in powder form in a dry place for years.
The coverage is approx. 5–10 m²/l per coat, and 1–3 coats are needed depending on the surface and desired finish. E.g., repainting an old painted surface ~10 m²/l and top-coating clay plaster ~5 m²/l. Dense surfaces (e.g., wood) increase consumption, and light shades often require two coats.
Paint with a brush using light, crosswise strokes in thin layers. We recommend a naturmix brush (half synthetic, half natural bristle). If using a roller, be prepared for more coats and higher consumption. Stir the paint regularly while working, as the clay will settle to the bottom.
The paint adheres best to absorbent, natural material surfaces. When wet, the paint is darker and translucent, but it lightens and becomes opaque as it dries (touch-dry in approx. 2–4 hours).
Natural color variations may occur in the shades. We recommend performing a test painting or ordering a color sample before a larger purchase. Wash tools with water.
